I wasn’t originally going to play the “age” card, but I, too, believe that the youngest ones offend the most, but I don’t think it relates to their youth per se.
I believe that it relates to the dawn of the computer age, which led to people communicating primarily non-face-to-face, bringing about a complete change in paradigm.
Those who berate, bully, and troll online don’t understand that, on the other side of Cyberspace, sits a living, breathing human being who is capable of feeling emotional pain. This unfortunate situation has led to the highest rate of suicides among teenagers ever recorded.
We in the older generation had our bullies, too, of course, but you never heard of a kid ending her life. That’s an entirely recent phenomenon.
