I remember that one as “White Water,” and it was only the best while it was still referred to as “White Water.” By the time it was bought-out and renamed to Wet N Wild, the Arlington location (now Hurricane Harbor) next to Six Flags had built a ton of new stuff and was much better.
They really were great, though… Back in those days, they were respectable places to go that *everyone* in the DFW metroplex loved. There’s nothing particularly bad about it, now, but it isn’t the same. The facility isn’t as nice. The crowd and special events are not as lively. I think the peak, for me, was going to one of the Hawaiian Tropic Bikini Contests in my early-teens during the early-90’s. Pepsi had a blind taste-test setup for free sips of coke vs. pepsi, and dippin dots ice cream was sold as “ice cream of the future.” The Bomb Bay and Black Hole were brand new. Yep, those were the days.
