A couple million at least. Probably 1-1.5mil just in making it structurally sound. It’s a lot of house, and in a terrible state of disrepair. And that just puts up some solid framing, roof, and some windows. Actually making the place livable (plumbing, electricity, actual walls instead of just frames) another few hundred thousand, and then to restore it to its originally intended glory, probably another million on top of that.
I’ve been in love with this house for several years (actually, posted it here about a year ago) watched a video about this house once, talking about the stone detailing about the windows or some archways or something and it blew me away. I had already been admiring the house for a year or two, and had never even noticed anything special about the stonework. A lot of detail and planning went into this house, and its a sad case. I will never have millions of dollars to blow on a project like this, but if I did, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Not to live in, just to make it beautiful again. Just because I want to see it, I want someone else to enjoy the beauty…. and now I’m getting all sentimental, so shutting up now. I love this house.
