Ain’t that the truth. They die, on average, 5 years early in Northern China (where I am)…but if you think about it, those are just the old people who have lived *most* of their lives without pollution. I feel so sorry for the young kids that have grown up in this. My fiancee has a cough that worries me up the wazoo (but then again, so does my mom and she’s pushing 70).
But…we take all of the precautions we can. We’ve got multiple HEPA/charcoal air purifiers running in the house and when we go outside we have HEPA/charcoal breathing masks we wear (quick plug to the awesome company, Respro is the shit).
That being said, we sure as hell ain’t having kids over here. And I’m outta here in a couple more years (just making too good of money to walk away right now).
