Other commenters here have identified the car as a ’65 or ’66 Chevy, which means it could conceivably have been sitting in this spot for 46-47 years. I’m not a botanist but looking at the bark and the needles all around I’d guess that’s a pine tree- pine is a soft, quickly growing wood. So it’s perfectly possible (and I’d say very likely) that the tree grew from a pine cone right through the engine bay.
