download .zip with all pictures
Right-click the image to bring up a menu. If you don’t use a mouse with a right button, hold the control key while you click the image. If you are using a trackpad, the same can be done for modern machines by tapping the image with two fingers.
Once the menu is up, select “Save Image As…” and choose a place to put the picture on your computer. Somewhere in the Pictures folder would be good, but anywhere will work.
Open System Preferences. The icon for this may already be in your Dock. You can also access System Preferences by clicking on the Apple Menu in the top left-most part of the screen, and selecting “System Preferences…” from the menu.
In System Preferences, choose “Desktop and Screensaver”. Select the Desktop tab (which is beside the Screensaver tab). There will be a small preview of the current desktop image. Select the “+” button at the bottom left of the window. This will open a window for you to choose the picture file you downloaded. Another way to do this is to open a window in Finder (by selecting the Finder icon, which looks like a two-tone face, in the Dock) and then navigating to the picture file. Then you can select and drag the file onto the image preview in the Desktop window. Once the file is dragged over the preview you will see a green circle with a “+” symbol to indicate the image can be dropped. Let go of the file and it will be made the desktop background.
