I didn’t say photograph, read my post, I said *scanned* negative or digital photo. Photographers use photoshop the same way they make multiple copies in an enlarger. No photographer just places the negative in and makes a perfect print on their first try, nobody. Anyone who thinks they do is delusional. You make the same adjustments with photoshop, adjusting the brightness, blacks and whites, hue and saturation, light temperature (digital cameras) and contrast. And if you are shooting JPG, you might not use photoshop because all these things are done for you in camera, just not as well and at the sacrifice of some quality. Photo editing has always been a vital part of the process since the invention of negatives, prints don’t just make themselves.
