It’s so weird to see a place from my childhood on here. It was such a beautiful mall when it was the popular mall in the area. My grandmas would take me there when I was staying at one of their houses. I’d always beg to ride the glass elevator. Compared to the other malls in the area, Rolling Acres was a work of art. If I recall correctly it is also the only multilevel mall in the area. Near the end it was so empty that a church rented out one of the stores to hold services in. At one point a homeless person was discovered living in one of the empty stores, which he had furnished with things stolen from the few stores still in the mall.
I still drive by it sometimes, remember how nice it was, and think about the times spent there with my grandmas.
