Property values are still much higher in Rhinebeck (median is $313,170 in RBK vs $233,758 in Red Hook. Rhinebeck is above NY state average. Red Hook is below)(source: city-data.com).
Red Hook and Rhinebeck both have a GreatSchools.org city rating of 8/10. If you guys actually have much more kids accepted in Ivy League schools (I’d like to see a source for that), it’s only because your student body is much higher (1316 students in Rhinebeck/2470 in Red Hook) therefore statistically speaking you’re going to end up with more successful kids (also more stupid kids).
Also, Red Hook is boring and there’s nothing to do there. Rhinebeck is pretty boring too, but a lot less boring than Red Hook. But you sound like you’re probably still a High School student and like Rhinebeck is your rival. I know how that is. I went to high school in Highland and hated Marlboro with passion. So if you want to hate on Rhinebeck, I don’t blame ya!
